No, I got a capacitive one so I don't get distracted from driving by having to hit the screen hard to get a clean response. A little pricier than resistive, but it will be easier to use.

I'm referring to the plethora of apps you could install on a given Android device to make a complete car-friendly package, such as Google Maps and Navigation, Android Speedometer, Seismograph, etc.

I had not actually thought any further than the music aspect. Silly me. I had a quick look on the market place and found 'Torque Pro'. Has a pretty nice feature set. Check it out here.

As for the phone mounting options, I found the following.
