Perhaps get your cooler tested on a flow bench, there's a head reco/porting guy in my street I can ask about that.
The pics of your current cooler are a bit blurry, but is the 2.5" outlet "stock" or was it welded in?
You might be able to "fix" any flow issues by welding on a 2.5" inlet or upgrading to whatever inlet/outlet diameters suit your existing/intended piping.
Just that adding all those gauges etc. might add unnecessary complication, *not that I really know what I'm talking about apart from studying HPI magazine* :D

Go borescope! So the cat is ok?

What's pic #5? Hopefully not the 'cooler inlet :-)

I suppose the key thing right now is whether or not to persist with the current cooler (modified if required for better flow) or just to get a new cooler that's already optimized for your special setup. I'm guessing you're budget limited so I'll ask the chap for sure - he's friendly AND affordable :-)

5th pic i was trying to see the numbers on the injectors so i know what they are.

im not worried if that cooler is no good i think im going to replace the whole lot anyway, id rather spend the coin straight up then fark around modifying the current shit set up

So after pulling the cooler off and piping and checking it out I decided to put a boost gauge in before the cooler as I had a spare gauge at home, the gauge is right before the cooler on the hot side so I don't have to worry about the nut getting swallowed by the engine if it came loose

After driving today my boost on my evc says between 17-18 the boost before the cooler is 21psi
Image

The boost spikes a bit when getting off the gas, I do have a blow off valve too

that should not happen when you get off the go pedal

what BOV do you have ???

the boost difference could just be a difference between the to devices being used to view the boost levels eg EVC and a Defi gauge will sometimes see 1-2 PSI difference even when run off the same vac line

Turbosmart duel port plumbed into the stock tube, wondering if I need a bigger one or secondary one before the cooler. Have u ever done boost tests before the cooler like this? What's your opinion?

I realize there would be a difference on both gauges + or - a certain amount on both gauges, I can't find the specs on the evc as I don't have the English manual on me nor do I know the auto meter one either and yes this could add up to the difference shown, I will be moving the gauge around to get a closer figure.

It's a start to the testing though which I enjoy doing, I'd rather test then throw parts at it and piss more dyno time up the wall
