Stock Plug 2.5i

Postby sedstrSTI » Mon Feb 13, 2012 12:11 pm

So today I called the local Subaru wrecker and told him I was after a standard wiring loom for a Liberty 05 2.5i stereo and he told me that they come with about 3 different ones and I had to take him a sample... I told him that I thought they were standard for the 2.5i range and the Mcintosh ones came with the 3.0r/b and the GT/ STI models... He told me he wont argue with me because he knew better and I had to take him a sample plug before he would cut one off for me

he said $25 for it regardless, which I find as a fair price.

Did the 2.5i's ever come with different stereo?
OR was he an absolute prick and thought he knew everything, can someone clarify this for me ?

thanks

Why do you need the plug ?
Take him a picture (assuming its tsill fitted and in use), and pin count, you should be able to match,

OR

Look at Aerpro connector range for one that fits your Suby, and show him one of those.....
If you look at threads on libertygt.com, on the facia swap threads (double din JDM facia), which I have done on both an 05 and my current 08 gtb, you will see quite a few pics of different ausio plugs.

Hey mate, sourced one locally with Michael. I believe they were all the same thing.
It was needed for the headunit install as seen in this thread > viewtopic.php?f=22&t=15409
