And I'm worried I'm going to have trouble getting 235s on my 8.5s. I'd love to put 245s on but I'm worried it will be too much hassle.
Good luck with that, I'd be interested to see how you go and what you need to do to fit it.

if you go 245/35 then the OD is not an issue, just gotta clear the width on guards, shocks/springs

hey mate it's a corazon grill to suit the JDM 2.0GT Spec.b as this is the front bar on crusins lib shown above, this grill will only fit the 3.0r Spec.b in austrailia (pre facelift) as we use different size gills in our front bars.

You are after the the corazon grill to suit the JDM 2.0GT which has the same grill as ours (we never got preface spec.b GTs) its not as large as crusins but still is a nice grill I'm after on myself actually, image below

Yeah, i'm not worried about the od, just available space.

I'm running tein s-techs on gtb billies and I've got 19x8.5 +35 rims sitting at home for which I want 245/35/19 but I'll settle for 235/35/19. I would really like the extra width and sidewall height though, even though it isn't much.
Coilovers a planned but there is no budget for anything decent anytime soon.

According to the a calculator my new rims should give me an extra 1mm clearance on the inside and extend out an extra 39mm on the outside.
To go to 245 the section width increases from about 8.6" to 9.8" (9.5" for the 235) - roughly.

I reckon I have about an inch of clearance on the inside and probably a bit more on the outside. I'm still not convinced it won't rub on the outside even after guard rolling. Will see, I'll do some measurements after the guards are rolled and see what I have.

The od would actually prefer the 245 too as it is a slightly larger circumference than stock instead of slightly less, so as the tyres wear down it will get closer to stock instead of further away.

Rooby, just beware those rims offset is too low.
You wont get over pits.
ADRs state maximum offset changes of 12.5mm either way from standard.
If your standard was 55, thats 43mm minimum...

Any reason your going for 19's or just cosmetic?

Thanks for the heads up, I missed that part.

Damn that's annoying.
And there were no gen 4's with less than 55 offset were there?

Also, you can only go 12.5mm less offset. You can't increase offset at all without approval as it is not allowed to reduce your track.

The 19's are just for cosmetic reasons (I don't think there is any other reason, if you are focussed completely on performance you wouldn't do it :))

And I have never had 19's or sidewalls that short before so I'm interested in trying them for a while to see what they are like.
I had always planned to go back to 18's if I didn't like it.

I'll probably still try them anyway, and run the risk of defect.
Unless I'm doing something stupid I should have no reason to get defected, it's pretty rare that the RTA does roadside checks around here from what I've seen.

Going 18 x 8.5, 5x100, 44offset.
Guards are already rolled but if I need more I have a contact who is going to help me get 245s or maybe 255's under there.
Will look a treat and I'm sick of slowing down for corners :D
