VW EOS:

1 full day detail working on exterior (stage 1) & Interior being the main focus.
Exterior ideally needed a stage 2 to get most of the swirls and scratches but improved 75% anyway.

Treating interior plastics with a non silicone matte protectant:

50/50 of cleaning and protecting the plastics:

After:

Onto the paint:

As you can see, paint is deeper, less swirl marks but the deeper marks are still evident with only doing a stage 1

Time spent:
4 hours on interior
4.5 hours on exterior

Seriously, if Hamish came to Melbourne, he would need a bloody big truck, cause the queue would keep him here for a month.

Haha Chaotic can be the coffee boy for everyone

ame VW owner, He booked it in the day after doing his EOS.

Same treatment, inside and out (stage 1 exterior and a deep clean of interior). Heaps of dog hair and leather took a while to get clean

Now onto paint:

Before: Good condition but heaps of water spots, and finish was a bit dull and needing a stage 1 polish

Hey I've been having a problem with the plastic parts on my driver side door, the very top strip always seems to get these white smudge marks, they go away when I wipe them down with a general purpose cleaner but then come back after a couple of days...any thoughts on how to get rid of these?

Are you talking about the black rubber strips under the outside of the windows?

No the plastic where the door handle is, the same strip you would rest your right arm on while driving. I'll try take a picture when I get home hamish :)

Another great job by Hamish.
He's even got me inspired to do things properly now - 2 bucket method wash, wool wash mits and microfibre towels.

Used some Meguiars Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber Protectant in the Liberty the other week. Came up pretty good, I reckon. It makes the plastics a bit more vibrant but doesn't have that greasy feel or look to it.

I only did it fairly quickly too. I'll have to spend a bit more time cleaning it up but it still produced good results.

HQ Premier, had rock hard paint with a few marks all over the paint and some serious attention needed on the bonnet:
