TOKYO VISIT: Upgarage? Any recommendations?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

Does that mean; 'I can't speak Japanese, I'm from Australia"?

Pretty much. It's a polite way of saying, "I am not Japanese. I am Australian".
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Two in particular have a heap of transformers. When i was there two months ago one had about three repaint variants of the starscream takara masterpiece figures. :D

Also, kiddyland in harajuku usually has a bunch, but they were in the middle of rebuilding the main store and only had a smaller one open.

Bic Camera / Yodabashi Camera in Akihabara (other side of the station) has a lot of toys too.

Thanks Heaps! I've been looking for one of the Masterpiece Starscream toys, ones on eBay are $300+
I was going to go check out Akihabara anyway, seeing how I'm a massive nerd/tech head.

I'm going to check out Shibuya 109 as well, from what I hear, that's where the famous intersection is located.

I'll def learn that phrase. Should help alot. Thanks again!

Here's the google map of all the tuning shops, up garages and autobacs around japan: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=202 ... 810f&msa=0

Heres a bunch of club listings i pulled together for our trip:
All listings: http://tokyoclubbers.com/
All listings: http://metropolis.co.jp/listings/clubbi ... e=upcoming
All listings: http://www.timeout.jp/en/tokyo/tag/nigh ... type=event

http://www.ageha.com/ (note: A shuttle bus is available from Shibuya between 11PM and 4:30!!!!)
http://www.air-tokyo.com/schedule/ (Predominately House)
http://www.e-alife.net/schedule/index.html (Ministry of sound style / live bands, jpop)
http://www.gaspanic.co.jp/schedule_99.html (big club, quite rubbish. Cheap drinks Y300 thursdays)
http://www.club-edge.net/schedule/index.html (i dont know what to make of this place. live music?)
http://www.womb.co.jp/#!/schedule/index.html
http://www.module-tokyo.com/schedule/2011/10/list.html
http://www.cogito.st/the-room/schedule/ (Disco, DnB, Techno)
http://www.unit-tokyo.com/schedule/2011 ... hedule.php
http://www.liquidroom.net/schedule/2011/10
http://clubatom.com/schedule/
http://go-to-eleven.com/schedule/index/2011/10
http://warehouse702.net/sche/201109/20110926.php (has internationals.. depends on schedule)
http://www.clubpure.com/ (Cover charge is 3,500yen, which includes unlimited drinks. There's a billiard table and a dance floor. No dress code.)

Also, if you haven't booked a hotel in shibuya yet, we stayed at the Shibuya Tobu hotel, which was one of the cheapest i could find (about AUD100 per night) but still decent. The citidines in shinjuku is a bit more expensive, but a much nicer apartment.

Quite a comprehensive list, Thanks so much! I hear great things about AgeHa and Womb, but I'll try to check out as many clubs on that list as possible.

Also, can any of you guys/gals please tell me if going clubbing/drinking during the weekdays is good (at these places above or somewhere else)?

I'm only going to be in Japan for one weekend, and out of the 10 days I'm there, I'll be up at the snow for 3 of them.

People are always out.. but they kick off a lot later than we do here. The salarymen hit the bars at about 10pm or so on a weeknight.

Theres always bars in shibuya / roppongi open.
