Very happy with new mods

Just had a few mods done to my My07 Lib GT (STi version #007/300)

Full TBE (Xforce, with Xforce WRX dump pipe) - great noise, nice burble but not so loud its a drone. Perfect actually. (Right Price Exhausts, Brisbane)
Ezy-Flash Pro (Chiptorque, Nerang)

Results - 175kw atw, great torque improvement as well, 480nm @ 3500rpm, 16psi. (I have the dyno sheet but I will get them to email me a pdf file of the sheet and post it up if anyone wants to see)
Seriously happy with the car now. Great pickup through all the gears and smooth delivery. Can't recommend both places enough.

My previous car was a 99 WRX with 195kw atw, and I gotta say, this feels a better drive. Handling is not as good, but I think it's the lack of lag and increase in torque I am enjoying. Very different cars in many ways. After going from a rex to a GT, at first I was disappointed (had to sell rex cos of wife and kids lol), but I am now very happy with this car. Best of both worlds. I'm sure a rexxy with the same mods would have me, but I think I'll be keeping them honest now.

Is it just the TBE and tune for those gains. Anything else done?

Would love to see the graphs as I've done similar work to my STI and produced 362Nm torque at 3215RPM. Your torque figure is really impressive.

It's just the TBE and flash that's been done. Nothing else has been done. I did do quite a bit of research prior to doing these mods. I expected at least 165 atw, was hoping for 170 and was chuffed with 175. I was quite specific that I wanted to focus on improving the torque. I did fork out for the custom tune which they reckon makes a difference. Dont the GT STi's come with high 300nm's in standard form? I've owned quite a few rexxies in the past and every car is different. If your in Brisbane id be happy for ya to have a drive. I've contacted chiptorque and they'll email the digital dyno chart post Xmas (I've got the laminated one here but can't be assed scanning it). They were awesome and I can't recommend them enough..
I'll post the chart as soon as I get it..

Pay no attention to the torque figure guys, it's very difficult to translate tractive effort back to flywheel torque.

And yes, Lachlan has been doing this for a LOOOOOONG time and is not full of shit like most of them.

That is a good figure. Seems like a great result and sounds like your onto a winner with your tuner. Especially if coyote approves. He seems to be a tough nut.

Ever since I've started trying to learn to log and understand how tuning works I've got more questions. Hopefully I'll answer some of my own questions as I continue reading and asking.

Dynos can pretty much put out any number disired, a great way of really testing the power is to put it down the 1/4 mile, that will give you a more realistic power figure. I cant remember the formula off the top of my head but a quick google and you will find it. I would love to see your graph and torque curve. What sort of AFR's has the tuner gone for?

The alternative is to use a dyno to establish delta figures - ie by how much power and torque have changed over stock. This means putting the car on the dyno when stock, and using exactly the same settings/conditions for the pre- and post- mod runs.
