Cheap project ?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

From the outside the car looks fine, but I can see in some of the photos, there is some serious chassis damage (looks like the chassis has scrunched up)

anyway, there looks to be more than $9000 worth of items there. Some rough conservative calculations are:

Brembos - $1500
Enkeis - $1000
Leather seats - $800
STi lip - $200
STi motor and box - $3000
STi dashboard - $400
Air bags - $400
STi struts and springs - $400
Bonnet - $400

That's so far off the top of my head $8800

Where are you getting the STi stuff from??

It's only a GT-B with Brembo's and STi rims. There is no front or rear lip, no STi dash or STi springs.

You're absolutely right - my bad!

Just assumed since it had Brembos and Enkeis...

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for people to split the purchase with:

I have done this in the past and it works really well.

Cheers,
Matt

Because the insurance company makes money or saves some money that way. Instead of paying for your damages to be repaired and only getting your excess as compensation, they write it off. That way they get the payout from the reinsurer (because all amounts of insurance are reinsured, otherwise insurance companies will go broke), pay out your claim, sell the car to a wrecker, take your excess amount and bump up your premiums the next year!*

*this is not proven just one of my many, many conspiracy theories.

Furthermore, it's hard to tell from the outside - what might seem OK on the outside might be a disaster on the inside.

With this car, I can see the chassis has a buckle from the picture, and is probably a big reason to why it was written-off

This is not an Tuned By STi... This is a 2007 GT-B... Still good value though... The guy does not live to far from me... It havs a damaged chassis rail so that it why it is deemed as a statuatory write off so impossible to register... I would only be interested in the top mount intercooler and blow off valve if someone wants to allow that in the part out lol! Cheers, Nick
