It works. More info here. I'm not sure I'd trust the quality of the bluetooth module - if you can afford it you're probably better off going for a better quality bluetooth kit.

I suspect the xcarlink and anycarlink units are the same Chinese product in different packaging - or one is a virtual complete knockoff of the other.

Perhaps, from what I can see, the Xcarlink has a bigger bundle of wires for the BT side of things, and aerial and a mic, whereas the Anycarlink apparently just has a connection for a mic. But yeah...

A little late but...

I bought the parrot 9200i and had that installed professionally by MotorOne (Subaru told me that they outsource these types of jobs to them around my area).
The system is great! Cuts out my music when I get a call, has usb, ipod and 3.5mm connections to play my music, and the quality is quite acceptable for these sort of systems.

I payed aprx $600 in total for this system + install
$280 install
$316 for the Parrot.

Certainly worth having a look into if you go down this path.

For people who already have an aux in and want to be able to stream music and answer calls via bluetooth, the Belkin Aircast Auto Handsfree is an option.

I have this paired up with the Axxess AIP-CL-ID and it streams music and calls via BT perfectly. Only issue is that all phone functions will need to be done via the phone.

Hi all.
OK, so Advanced Ice IPod connection has been installed and is working well except you can't toggle tracks up and down.
The volume control on the steering wheel and the HU works but no toggle up and down. It plays whole albums/Artists or playlist no problem. A little annoying but will get Dan to have another look when the Parrot goes in on the 30th with the rest of the stereo.
The Parrot CK3100 will simply plug into phone port on the Bit-Ten processor so that bit is easy as well.
FHRX only charged $77.00 to install the Advanced Ice. I think that's a bargain considering the work involved in pulling out HU and the quality of there workmanship. No marks, scratches, broken clips or rattles at all.
The iPod cable sits nicely in the glovebox and is long enough operate easily, so that is good. I just don't know if the lack of operation on the toggling will shit me so much I pull it out and chuck it in the bin.
I will post on the progress after stage 2 is completed and Dan has another look. I'm sure he will get it operating right.

I tried to install the Xcarlink to my McIntosh PF-2824I (MY08 GTB) and it didn't work, even though it was for the Suzuki (clarion) model.

I returned it and got the Parrot MKi9200, as well as one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI. ... 745wt_1143

The harness will connect to my factory McIntosh amp, and from there i can re-connect the factory McIntosh HeadUnit and is designed to plug the 9200 into as well.

Ill be able to BT my iPhone to the Parrot for Music which will work through all speakers, and will mute when a call arrives.

Im not too keen on replacing the HU coz i love the way the dash looks and i want to keep it original, so i went this way.

According to my purchase history it appears as "Xcarlink iPhone/iPod interface", car make Suzuki.

Yeah, i can control the Contacts/Music using the remote.

There is a forum member IsDon from the LegacyGT forums that has done the same thing. He actually went to the effort of getting the ebay seller to build the harness for Libertys that have a McIntosh set up. The harness plugs straight into the factory AMP under the passenger seat, then the harness connects to the HU and the Parrot Box. I dont think i will need to cut any wires.

It also comes with a cable that i plug into my Aux socket so that music is pumped through all 14 speakers.

Hopefully the Parrot arrives tomorrow, and on Saturday i will be installing it.

I will take photos and post it up when im done.

That kinda explains why the MUSIC-SOT is relatively expensive compared to some other Parrot connectors...
It does mention on the eBay link to MUSIC-SOT that it may retain use of standard/stock steering wheel controls - interesting to see if that works out too.

Since i will be plugging it into my factory AUX socket, I'm pretty sure the volume control on my steering wheel will work, not so much the track seeker though.

Just a heads up, i completed my Parrot MKi9200 to Factory McIntosh amp today, and its fricken awesome!

I took photos along the way (when i remembered) so hopefully tomorrow ill try to find time to put together a fresh post with pics.
