Hey Club Lib , ive been a member for a short while now and i recently brought a my06 gen4 safety pack 2.5i Liberty that has optional leather interior . i am very pleased with my buy and im keen to let the modifying begin .

at this stage i dont want to do anything major to the car as it is NA .
but here is what i have in mind anyway

- Pedders sports ryder lowered springs ( keeping stock struts )
- 18" rota gravel wheels in gun metallic
- Ultrex front lip & rear spoiler lip . ( also thinking about new ultrex grille & diffuser but not certain )
- Borla style Headers & a 3" or 2.25' ( not sure whats the better option at this stage ) exhaust from the cat back , and twin tip exhaust mufflers

my aim is to keep things clean and simple but at the end of the day if the lib was completely stock id still be proud of it .

if anyone has any feedback or suggestions they want to give please do leave a comment im curious to hear what the people of club liberty can tell me from there own experience working with libs !

cheers Liam

also attached is a quick pic i took of the car its very stock at the moment and the wheels on it arent mine but with a bit of saving hopefully that will all change soon wish me luck .

Hey welcome to the forums.
A nice set of clean cosmetic mods you have planned there.

Lower it indeed :)

Welcome.

I wouldnt touch the centre section of the exhaust on an NA. Theres just no point. If you do though, 2.25" max.

thanks for the welcomes :)

and cant wait for it to be lower , do you think a drop of 38mm ( pedders sports ryder lowered springs ) is low enough aesthetically and good value for money compared to coilovers ? i know that ultra low king springs give a drop of around 40-35mm but when i size it up to the car still looks a little high but id prefer to buy pedders springs .

by not touching the centre section of the exhaust do you mean from the cat back to the mufflers ?

Welcome, The gen4 doesn't need much of a drop to look nice.

Yes, from the front cat, back to the exhaust flanges.

Just bolt some exhausts on for a better note (TCP quads are sexytimes). Theres really going no beneficial gains to be had from an exhaust on a 2.5NA.
