I came from a 2L WRX STI, the liberty is a more completed car IMO

Love the colour, looks great.

Thanks.

Yeah, have a few mild plans. Swap all the globes out for LED's, paint the wheels metallic charcoal, spray the brembos silver, carbon grill.

Was thinking of lowering it, but im loving not having to enter driveways and speed humps sideways, like my old sti, so i think ill leave it on the pink springs.

Nice one, sounds like you have found your perfect daily driver now !

Any reviews, opinions or comparisons against the old STI?

In terms of comfort, and interior build quality, the Liberty is leagues ahead of the sti. All impreza's just look soo cheap now in comparison!

Handling and performance wise, well there is no comparison. The STI had a bunch of power and suspension mods, so it was MUCH more sure footed on the road. The liberty kind of feels like a boat compared to the sti. But as i never thrashed the car, or took corners at excessive speeds, all it was doing was making the ride harsher, louder, and less enjoyable to drive to work.

With a few basic mods (such as a tune) on the liberty for a bit more oomph, i think it will be very very nice. No regrets in the swap, thats for sure!

Step 1 towards having charcoal wheels and silver calipers is complete. Ie, materials purchased.

Iv sprayed about 5 sets of wheels now, for myself and many others (i do all my own spraying).
Got some etch primer, metcallic charcoal paint, and some non-yellowing clear.

Iv also go silver (alluminium) caliper paint, and a new set of black Brembo decals to go on.
The decals are a little bit of the wrong size though. The rears are too large for the rear caliper, and the fronts are too small (no, i havnt got them the wrong way around).
I guess ill see how they fit, other wise i may need to order more at a later stage.

They look fantastic. Do you flip them over and to the centre of the wheels?

Nice. I prefer to have the tyres removed before painting however.......

As for the decals, anything ive seen available here is shit.

This is the place to get them from.....

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Subaru-Bremb ... 2c5de956e0

All mine come from there. Buy via Ebay or buy direct.

Charcoal rims and silver Brembo's on a silver car.....

Where have I seen that before? :P
