Postby Nipple06 » Mon Sep 26, 2011 12:06 pm

Does anyone know if Subaru Liberty Premium 2011 mags they are 17inch and same width will fit my 2004 wagon 2.5i ? I would post a link but they are only been on the persons car for 2 days and they are advertised for $350 for four so i think that's a good deal.

I'm fair sure they are 7.5" wide, but could only be 7".

I really like those wheels for the Gen5, look to small for a Gen5 though.

Get them painted charcoal!

Yea 7.5" will fit easy. Depends how much you want to spend on tires. Can speand $100 each tire on a bob Jane, or can spend $500 on something nice.

I have bridestone potenza's on my 05 GT with 18" CS9's wheels, and they are great :).
But prob $300ish for 17" so not sure if you want to spend that type of $$$.

I like the liberty premium ones because they have the s work look and still look stock which is an advantage when your on you p's because the cops are just looking for defects. So did you go from 17inch to 18 ? If so how much cost is involved in adjusting the speedo ? the other option is i have a set of 2006 xt forester rims the 5 spokes i think (currently own). Im looking at about $500 for a full set (4) of kumo fitted thats for the stock 215 r17 45. I called up subaru asked him for the cost of the liberty premium 2011 wheels and he said $1100 per wheel :O

They're 7.5" wide huh? Always thought they were 7". The Subaru site says 7.5" too. hmmm, even better...

Anyway, back to your situation, get the best quality tyres you can arrange, even if it means getting parents to chip in - safety first

Wider tyre means (to a point) wider rubber and more grip on those occasions when you need to emergency stop.

Your current tyres (if they are still useable and you are happy with them) will also fit on the new wheels so you don't necessarily need to shell out for new tyres straight away.

Ok so yes they are 7inch. what they came with was 215/50/17 so the owner said.
Yes of course with the tyres get a known brands such as brig, yoh, mich ect
i have currently 2mm on each tyre roughly so yes i will change them
when you put standards on your forester xt can be the reason why this happens. This was my dads xt it was a write off :(

Naa I didn't get my speedo changed when I moved to 18"'s. It's such a small different that is doesn't matter. I just sit on 60-61 rather than sitting on 63-64. :).
