So the 0-100 is actually quite accurate, but not 100%.

Thx Kieran

Not trying to be a dick or anything (honestly I don't need to try) but thought I should mention that the 5.96 is when your car thinks it's doing 100. As might know they all read well over the actual speed limit on the road by about ~8% ie speedo error. So you might want to check your speedo and work out what the true 100 is for your car. I'm sure my car is out by a good 7% at least, so 100 is about 93 odd in my car.

Either way it's still a huge gain, well done for going a different route and best of luck with the rest of the build. Really love the sound of the h6, you should put up a good vid with the sc whining it's bum off in your build thread!!

Ben,

Speedometer was not used at all. The timing is derived directly from the ECU. I do not know the accuracy of the ECU so I am not claiming any official time, just putting it out there as a relative gain.

On the video front, a good suggestion and will do that one day when I have spare cash to allocate to a good camera with sound.

It's just a matter of finding a "Motor Magazine" issue around 2 years old.... which I don't have handy

The issue I have - March 2011

Liberty 3.6 auto

Results: 0-100kmh 7.3secs (I imagine the 3.0 must be around 8.* secs)

The results posted yesterday are quite amazing really in that light. 2.3 sec improvement without stalling up -

Quartermile times are going to be slick!!

With full exhausts, intercooler systems, optimized tunes, eventually more boost, water cooled chargers etc on the option list this will be a fun, fun ride indeed

Lol that was the most common comment we used to get about our 4cyl Subaru kits, we are now 5 years down the track with those and nothing went pop, only the comments died :D

I am really hanging to get on this train ride, car is identified, just the business of getting it into my hands when its so far away

The official 0-100 time for MY05-06 3.0RBs is 6.9 seconds for both auto and manual.
I can beat this on my ECUdatascan, so I think they are a little optimistic. They use the GPS to determine when you start and stop, and so miss the first few tenths of a second when you are moving slowly.

It´s not the reason for this thread, just info.
I´v looked in the old brochure, for the 2005/06 5AT is 8.2s/8.4s (Limo/Wagon) and 6MT 6.9s/7.0s (Limo/Wagon).
Hopefully some "watercooled news" on the way?

All very quiet in here

Any other news from the "cars" with boost?

A man in Russia gets his kit on the way this week. It may go onto a 3.6 in a short while, but owner currently has 3.0

Had the valve body upgrade done by a local auto transmission specialist last week (thru HPF) and still waiting for it to settle properly. Not quite to my liking as I feel it is now too harsh on manual changes. Also holding a bit too long from 1st to 2nd (about half a second). So back to the transmission specialist for some additional "tuning".

I think I cannot be sure about WTA cooler until I try this on a car locally or my own H6 (3 weeks away)

Still waiting for you Tim. Secured that H6 yet?

Took the car on a cruise recently and she performed nicely. Auto transmission is starting to settle a bit now after the valve body upgrade (or I am getting used to it).
