And what material is the intake pipe made out of? Could I have the whole system black for a more stealth appearance? Sorry for asking now I just didn't think to ask them at the time.

Jake,

The intake pipe is aluminium and was powdercoated black. To keep the intake temps down we wrapt the intake pipes with thermo-tec thermo shield.

Got some PWR goodies today - thankyou PWR

Now its all about how to integrate it, the radiator should be a piece of piss for anyone to mount at the front

For us to integrate the barrel cooler (size appears good) might be a bit more challenging -

Great to be going forward on the matter

I have been supplied the following items

1 x barrel cooler
1x water filler neck w/cap
1x radiator
1x pump

They also returned the pipe we sent down (which is as agreed)

Now its up to us to integrate that barrel cooler into that pipe w/welder etc as a normal fabrication process

So essentially its a supply of components that are not configured yet

So, no realy development work from PWR, just sending some parts from the katalog.
Did they told you which barrel cooler it is from the catalog, which diameter the radiator has and is a fan included or just airflow cooling and is in the kit a small reservoir with in the kit?
I think a radiator with fan and a reservoir will give a great cooling efficiency with a lot of clearance for hot times.

All parts are wrapped in thick bubble wrap - some of these parts I may ship to you tomorrow in which case I dont want to have to rewrap them

You should try and ring me today when you have a time slot to do so

Did my 1st 0-100 run today, as timed by the ECUdatascan. Achieved 5.96 without any preload on the auto transmission. That is enough for me and still loving that nice sc whine!!!

Well I had to read that figure twice and walk away a bit before I comprehended!

For such a low effort add-on to dig into the 5's for 0-100 kmh sprint is decent

I think by the time we are well into this program we will give some of those numbers the Jenny Craig treatment

Anyone care to quote the stock 0-100kmh time for an automatic? I have no clue what it is...... just the yardstick we need

Tim,

I have a spec (ex 2004 Subaru web site) from the original 3.0R Premium Sedan Auto, quoted as 8.2 seconds. Best run I achieved after the STI tune (with preloaded revs at 2000 rpm) was 7.0 seconds.

Not trying to be a dick or anything (honestly I don't need to try) but thought I should mention that the 5.96 is when your car thinks it's doing 100. As might know they all read well over the actual speed limit on the road by about ~8% ie speedo error. So you might want to check your speedo and work out what the true 100 is for your car. I'm sure my car is out by a good 7% at least, so 100 is about 93 odd in my car.

Either way it's still a huge gain, well done for going a different route and best of luck with the rest of the build. Really love the sound of the h6, you should put up a good vid with the sc whining it's bum off in your build thread!!

My ECUDatascanner reads almost the same as my GPS. The Actual speedo on my car reads the 7% less, but the ECU is showing a different speed, and from what I can tell the correct speed.
So the 0-100 is actually quite accurate, but not 100%.
