I suppose it's similar to paying $1k for the rear wiper on my sedan. I reckon it was totally worth it, I use it every time I drive in the rain

Im sure if you got the mirrors with the motors that some bright minded person could wire it to be part of an aftermarket alarm as well, in the same way the windows and sunroof can be wired to close when armed. (think i remember reading you had an aftermarket alarm, but cant remember if you got rid of it or not)

I drove a Merc last year that parks for you. Very spooky. Steering wheel spinning frantically.

Actually poorly implemented in Australia. You still need to manually brake (and accelerate I think) and it turns the wheel. Apparently this is a result of the ADR's - really stupid, I reckon it's harder to 'half' autopark than full autopark. Overseas it does the braking too. It's possible they leave it off Aussie models for this reason.

I must admit it did a good job of getting into the spot tho.

the mirrors do fold when the alarm in switched on and unfold when the car is started. The mirror button is to switch them off or on

That's a pretty good price considering what they cost new. Jerome's car is post facelift though...I wonder if the casing is interchangeable?

Don't order these.. I just realised that the cheapskate yanks don't have leds in their mirrors. You'd essentially be giving up the turn signals if you install this.

Yep I did, but have no idea if our cars in OZ have any of the wiring already under the Dash
