Secondary brake lights!?

Anyone know where the plug for the brakelights that are on the boot of the gen3 sedan is? i had a mate whos an auto sparky to have a look, but he said i should ask around on the forums before he goes digging around to find it. the lights have bulbs and are wired up but just not connected to the brake pedal circuit.. anyone know how to get them working?

If it has both bulb holders in place,all he has to do is connect them to the other lights with power/earth,pretty easy.

thats what i thought, but theyre already connected and running with the other wires, back down through the boot arm into the body, so he says that there will be a loose plug, somewhere along the circuit which just needs to be plugged in for them to work.. but thanks eddie, ill tell him that just incase he hadn't thought of it.

Could the bulbs just be blown?

Have you tested the bulbs in a different socket?

There was an easy fix for this on Ozliberty for the gen2 & gen3's back in the day.

The wires run down the drivers hinge to the plug but end there.He needs to connect on that side.But,keep in mind if you ever need a blue slip they can fail you as there is something to do with measurements between lights and your car was not available in OZ with this.

i discovered this aswell..
the globes arent blown but theres definatly wiring and stuff there...
wonder why the hell they included this on the australian models in the first place if its illegal to get em running?

they cant even be activated as fogs on the aussie models... pretty sure ive seen legacy vids from russia where they have em working

Hey Shane,I think they are still low wattage so no fog lights.I dont know why the wiring is there but it is.However its not on the body side so maybe the harness is generic?
