Introduction and query

Hi all,

Name: Issey
Ride: 2007 Liberty GT Tuned by STI Wagon Manual in black
Mods: Hitech mufflers as of two days ago
Location: Melbourne
Occupation: Commercial Photographer
Previous rides: 2003 Audi A4 1.8 Turbo Quattro/GIAC Performance Chip/Remus Exhaust/18' BBS CH Wheels
1998 Audi A4 1.8 Turbo/GIAC Performance Chip/Remus Exhaust/Eibach Springs/Bilstein Shocks/18' BBS CH Wheels/Full Reiger Body Kit
1988 Saab 900 Aero Turbo

I have been visiting this forum for a while and thought it was time I joined in.
After reading various posts on this site I finally took the plunge and bought a set of Hitech Quad mufflers. I had them installed on Wednesday and I am loving the new sound along with the improved drivability. I am tossing up whether to sell the original STI Quad mufflers and was wondering what they would be worth? I would be prepared to part with them for the right price.

Thanks.

Welcome mate, nice ride.
Pictures are needed of course!

In regards to your question.....
I can't say how much they are worth as I think I need to stay away from sale threads forever, but I can say that some people think they are worth less than $800 (see this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11786)

Any plans for mods in the future on your car? Some good info around on bang for your buck performance when you just start out.

Also there is a Melb cruise being planned for sometime on the easter weekend (looks like it might be Monday so far)
If you are keen, come along and meet the gang!

Hi Kieran,

Thanks for the prompt welcome.

Ok. Thanks for the link to the thread. I ambitiously thought that they were worth a little more than that :( so I might just keep them incase I want to return the car back to stock form when I go to sell....

In terms of mods. I am pretty happy with the performance of the vehicle at this stage. I have had it since new and it still puts a smile on my face when I drive it especially now with the Hitech's! I might look at a set of swaybars (Whiteline) in the future and I was thinking of maybe replacing the grill. I like the one on the S402 in Japan and I believe it's the Spec B grill with the chrome surround painted black (chrome)?

I do have a few commitments over Easter so I will see how I go. Thanks for the invite though.

Thanks Gambit & Matt for the welcome. I'm glad you like the shot. I photograph cars for a living :D

Gambit, I am not sure if you could afford me..... :) . Oh, by the way the concrete floor in the shot was added in post. It was a a quick test shoot I did for a client and we created the concrete in a 3D program as CGI (Computer Generated Imagery). The car was shot in my studio which is all white. We can look into 'sharing the love".......
