I think everyone is too polite to say something, but this has been dragging for far too long with too few updates.
Are we able to get some answers, like what is going on, when are we expected to receive this, what exactly is the problem with customs and what are the next steps to get them released.
I've imported a lot of things and yes customs can delay things, but I have yet to experience anything like this before. I would hate to think that this deal has gone south, but with the lack of updates and details I'm starting to think I may kiss my $$ goodbye. :?

Apparently i will receive an invoice for the import duty by Friday, once that is paid they will be delivered to me. So hopefully i'll have them in my possession by mid next week and have them all shipped off by the end of next week. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for everyones patience. Anything post related always seems to be a painful experience.

Ben.

Hold off on the pitchforks until the end of this week I reckon :D

I am by no means worried at all, I was trying to point out to the guy above that it's way too early to start making accusations, which is basically what he was saying in his post, he just never spelt it out.

Group Buy for Bonnet Strut/Hood Damper

Postby Mr Cali » Tue Mar 29, 2011 12:41 pm

I have been involved in many group buys and have organized them myself as well. The key to them is communications, with updates on what is happening and why, especially when one drags on for this long. I have no probs with waiting, but why do people have to continually have to ask for updates before they get any information. Yes, I agree that he is doing us a favor, and i thank him and others that have organised group buys. but taking on the responsibility of organizer also means that you take on the responsibility to ensure that you clearly communicate what is happening in a timely manner.

To add to this, yes I have been burnt before and it usually starts off with delayed updates, very little information and then they vanish.
I'm not making any accusations, just wanting more updates and information to keep me in the loop whilst I wait.

Just relax mate, calling customs every day is not going to get it processed quicker (in fact they'll probably stick it at the bottom of the pile).

I paid the customs fee's on Friday as soon as i received the invoice, and as per my previous post, im expecting the goods to be released this week.

For anyone wanting further proof, flick me you email address and i'll send you the receipt from customs.

Nah, no aggression here, I certainly dont plan on ripping anyone off. If you look back i have made updates approximately once a week since they were ordered and have replied to any queries reasonably promptly. Apologies if this has not been often enough for some people.

Take it easy guys. Patience is a virtue.

Also due to the high AUD, Customs are momentarily busy processing quantity of goods imported from overseas. :?

A release note was apparently sent to Australia Post today by customs informing them to release the struts. With some luck the struts should be on their way to me today.
