Air Intake Mods

Postby Ben » Fri Mar 18, 2011 12:56 pm

Has anyone modded the air intake to get more cold air into it? I added a cusco radiator plate today and it's going to cut airflow to the air intake it looks like. Has anyone else noticed this and found a way around? I don't want to be sucking hot air in from the engine surrounds and I nearly un-installed the radiator plate after having a good look at it!

I was thinking of running a pipe up from the far left hand side of the bottom opening below the grill into the air box somehow to get fresh air in and putting some mesh on the end to filter the air somewhat.

Ideas really appreciated!

I have the prova air guide which sits behind the grill to force in a bit more to the HKS panel filter. Wouldn't mind getting a bit of pipe under the box where the resonator was to fetch some more aswell...

I was just looking at the air guide now and looks like I can't have the radiator plate and that on at the same time :/

And yeah I was thinking about linking something up into the airbox, haven't removed the resonator but that might be a good idea in hindsight.
