Hey Guys - Looking at buying a GT Liberty Wagon

Postby phil2026 » Thu Jan 06, 2011 11:19 am

Hey Guys,

Thinking of buying a 2008 GT Liberty Wagon Spec.B MY08.

I have sold my GT Forester and was planning on getting an XT Forester, but this has popped up at a good price.

What sought of modifications do you get done, to get this thing at least over 200kw at the wheels.

I am assuming all the suspension mods - swaybars and what not, then Brembo's. Looks like ride height is pretty good.

And then the engine mods.
What am i looking for with these mods?

CAI
Bigger turbo
Turbo back exhaust
Bigger top mount
Fuel pump
STI Injectors

Any other recommendations?

Thanks guys

sorry about the questions, have only done all the research for the new forester!

Standard suspension is the bilsteins, so unless you want coil overs, springs might be all that is needed.
Sway bars definately, especially in the wagon, as they do tend to roll a bit more than the sedan.

As far as engine and general mods go i'm not too sure with the 2.5t, have a squiz through the post your mods section in the forum, there are a number of GT-b's with good mods, putting out good power.
I think i read somewhere Phat is getting over that power from his 2.0gt. So maybe fire him an email from the vendors for sale section or forumparts@gmail.com to see what he thinks as well, as he does a great deal of work on a lot of these cars. :)
