Maximum Camber

Postby drndrn » Fri Dec 03, 2010 2:58 pm

Hey guys,

Just had an alignment done along with the Whiteline Rear Camber kit, (KCA399). I had initially asked for:
F:-2.0
R:-1.5

but when I returned to get the car, they said the camber was maxed out at;
F:-1.4
R:-1.3

Does that sound right? I have BC Racing coilovers which have camber plates at the front as well.

I've seen Liberty's in the states with -2.0 at the front and almost -2.0 at the rear with room to spare apparently. Any ideas on whether or not the car is really maxed out or is it just their alignment that was wrong?

Darren.

Sometimes the readings can be thrown a little bit of out wack, but generally not by much. My before & after readings on my EVO were actually different at my last allignment & they didn't actually change any settings :P Also, with camber bolts, I've seen them state "gives you -2 neg camber" but in reality it will give you less, which is why some people can apparently use 2 kits together to get a nice level of neg camber.

When running a Bilstein & Eibach set up, I was getting approx -1.9 on the front, & approx -1.5 on the rear... With Tein coil overs I was able to get -2.4 on the front & about the same on the rear... BUT, the same coil overs installed onto the new owners car (You know who you are ;) ) & alligned at the same place was able to get a massive -3.4 on the front!

Anyway, I probably haven't help you out :P

Haha, no help really. But thanks anyways.

Well I've read on LegacyGT that people running the same set up have been able to get ALOT more. Maybe I'll try take it somewhere else and see what they say.

Were the TEIN's rear camber adjustable?
