did you do a slow bed in ???

(normal driving for 1 day) (DO NOT BED THESE IN HARD)

did you give the rotors a light skim ????

if not the rotors might have had a slight glaze from the last set of pads which will make them squeal

The rotors were machined, I drove around about 15-20km lightly stopping and then 5 times heavy braking on the freeway.
I also made sure the car didn't come to a complete stop with the brakes (I slowed down till about 5-10km/h, then took to a full stop using handbrake)

Clarence theres no need to do this "then 5 times heavy braking on the freeway" on the type m pads due to the low dust design as the compound used does not require this type of bedding in

Normal driving for works fine and gives no squeal (maybe a tad in reverse)

Clarence, I did what you did bedding in the Hawks and the Dixcels. They started to squeal after about 5,000km. But after Phat installed this new set, I bedded them as he suggested, which is normal everyday driving for a few days. Works a treat now!

I used this method on type z pads (harder then the m's) with heat treated rotors….even after 1 track day still no squeaks.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

When the squealing started, I had the pads taken out, sanded down a bit , and re-fitted.
