Very nice! Keep up the great work! Looking forward to your future mods! I love being there for a car's origins and then watching it progress. :D

Any pics of the car with the Ultraleggeras?

I dont even have tyres for them yet. Don't have to much cash after the first mod bite. :(
Getting prices for painting them today though.

So whats the verdict. How different is a prefacelift GT to a prefacelift 3RB? :D

Aside from the obviously engine difference :P Different front car & grill... 3RB came with Bilstein shocks... 3RB also had electric driver & passenger seats... I think there are more, but the rest would only be minor.

^^^ Ahhhhh... It's different :P

I've found the 3RB's (In 6sp manual) to be a nicer car to drive (In completely stock form) in the way to torque comes in etc... Mind you, a few mods to the GT & you can get all that & more ;)

Hks180 - Thanks for the globes and helping me out. Can't wait to get the 5000k as the 6000k was too blue for me :D

Woodduck - For the GT vs 3RB. I made a thread here, I do miss the 6speed but that sound of spooling and the gear changing makes up for it... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9955

Swinging - Thanks for the engine covers, tidies it up so much :D And soon to be GT badge. I plan to remove the spoiler (repaint the whole boot, probably with a lip spoiler) and then put the LIBERTY badge on the left hand side and adjacent to that the GT badge (without the 2.0 part) on the right hand side. Keep it looking stock but noticeable GT from the back as well as the front.

Cruisn - I still can't decide what colour to go for the Ultraleggera's as they are a matte black colour now. Leaning towards gunmetal at the moment. The Legacy wagon pissed me off to much, glad to be back on team sedan.

Tek - Powah mods will wait until i get to know the car :? (Lack of funding is the true story). But do want more noise from the intake, the HKS filter and removing the resonator helped but might need a CAI or something as well.

Hey Hamish grats on the purchase mate, looking good.

Respray front GT grille.

You going to mesh it out as well?

hamish_023 wrote:- Aluminium pedals (From the 3.0L)

I can't remember your previous ride, was that a 3.0? You should maybe consider some JDM STi pedals, they look a lot better imo.

hamish_023 wrote:- Cusco strut bar/brake stopper

A few people have mentioned that the Cusco front strut tower bar and brake stopper combo are not as effective as the standalone versions of each, something to do with the brake stopper connected to the bar having more flex? Either buy them separately or maybe buy an STi bar and the cusco stopper?

hamish_023 wrote:Ltd Edition Zero sport Radiator

Are you getting both the Zero sport caps in the 2 pressure ratings or only doing one of the caps?

Anyways good luck with the rest of the mods, looks like you know exactly what you want.
Did you get Leo to give you the full LED treatment? Interior lights are the bomb :P

Ryan - http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/8074/mg7918.jpg

These are the rims. (yes i picked a good car to show them against). Ultraleggera mean Ultraweight in Italia where they are manufactured, weighting under 8kg each for 18x8 wheels.

Kieran – Not sure I like the mesh in the prefacelifts though. The satin paint is peeling so had plans the take off the chrome wings and badge and paint it a matte black or satin gunmetal.

Also don’t like the Sti pink pedals though.

The strut brace is mainly for bling as i noticed next to nothing on previous cars, same with the Zero sport Radiator and oil caps from Phat. The engine bay looks a bit too yellow atm.
