Fitting STI Quads DIY???

Yeh they are on now, I went and bought new flange gaskets just incase for 4.50 each.

These tips look the goods, but I can confirm that note is very similar to my stock tips. Bit louder in idle or 1st/2nd, but not much.

Might look into removing the resonator, but not sure of pros/cons so I might do some research. If it will increase note and I'd not bad for the car, that might be good...

Looks good Alex! Great work! Don't get Phat quads because although they'll give you more note, they were designed around the turbo, and you will most likely experience lag at lower speeds due to the larger pipes.

Found a thread on how to remove the resonator, but not alot is said on pros vs cons... Ppl say to 'tape' up the hole that is left but im not sure?

Would an exhaust shop be able to do anything to make it burble a little bit more and still leave my sti tips?

Well there's that one Legacy N/A in the states that achieved the burble sound by putting a washer between the flanges along the exhaust pipe to create a leak. Sounded decent!

Just disconnect one of your spark plug leads

It was stupid for you to not know that without a spark plug, a cylinder isn't going to ignite.
Spark plugs aren't there to turn on Neons you know right? :lol:

I knew he was being a smart ass hence the ??? meaning 'wtf'... why write something like that and try take the piss out of me? Im asking serious questions about removing the resonator which plenty of ppl do

Are you talking about the resonator for the Air filter? I did mine on the weekend and Phat said just leave it open. Much better sound from the engine. Probs nothing more out the exhaust though
