Looks good blacktop! Those wheels are rare 'don't need a 'lower it or it looks like crap' ones. Looks quite good with stock suspension.

But I have to agree with Tek. It's not really considered 'flush' unless it's flush against something (ie- lower it so it's flush against the fender cuz 'air' don't count).

Here's a cheap cheat: invite family and friends over and have them pile into your car prior to taking the picture. It will look like you have coilovers! But be sure to distribute the bodies evenly, it looks weird when the front bar is up in the air because everyone piled in the back. And remember to have the people keep their heads down or else it looks like a clown car.

Thanks for the comments guys! Yeah coilovers are on the to do list. I don't want to lower the rear too much but the front can come down a fair bit cos it's sits higher then the rear. The rear was actually superlow when I had the old rims in the back and 4 people in the car...it was scraping around every bend! lol

i'm looking to get the wheels spaced out, but if i put in the size i want, they will be flush with the guards. as it is, i've pulled the guards once turning into maccas at speed ( i was hungry)...

Why are the wheels outside the body?

Thats retarded for:

Wheel bearing life
Scrub Radius
Bump steer
Damper control
Bush life
Tyre loading
Roll centre (is now effectivly dynamic)
Destroys ackerman advantage due to scrub radius.

Whats the appeal? Does it do anything at all except a) ruin shit, and b) draw attention to yourself? Why you want to do either, in a modified car is beyond me.

Wait, you want to fix some sort of roll centre failure, you created by going too low and having some low offset, so that you have a car with a massive positive scrub intervene angle, (on a road car, with potholes, road tyres etc this is not generally a good thing). Then you want to correct it by lowering your tie end pickup, further increasing load on the ball joint that keeps the car facing the direciton you want it to face, and consequently is being subjected to twice or more the load it was designed to from the increased scrub.

Dont correct it. Drive around at 7.2km/h as anything faster is dangerous. Engineers smarter than JDMy0 dorifto kids and herrafrush made things the way they are for a reason, mcpherson strut FTW.
