Spacers sit the wheels further out? so how would that help get a wheel to sit further in so as not to damage the guards?

blacktop™ wrote:i got them fitted yesterday arvo and they look pretty nice. ill post up some pics tonight if i get the chance. the cars not lowered yet nor have the guards been rolled or anything.

i think when the car is lowered the rears prob could do with a 5mm or so spacer.

The track on the rear of the Liberty's is a few mm skinnier than the front, so a small spacer on the rear will space them out a bit so they sit the same as the fronts...

Nice work getting them on the car, and keen to see how they look! I would have been interested in the same wheels if they were the same concave as the 9.5" version of the same wheel!

Ah k... Yeah... Better to get a lower offset wheel than use spacers IMO...

Hi Jm

38 19x8.5's

will be a walk in the park to fit

Need rear guard rolling (no pumping)

need front guard rolling and a bit of a pump on the front side (closest to the bumper) and 2 deg max camber

Remember the lower you go the more the wheel will fold in , at the stock height they will hang out but when lowered 30-40mm they will fit

im using 20x9 +33 (Japenese 3 piece) for a street wheel and a 18x8.5 +40 with a TOYO 888 235 for fun times and both fit (i do have modded front fenders just for extra space) but no rear guard pumping only rolled

Wow... Nice Phat... Got any pics you can share?

Not sure what's going on with the Advan's now anyway, and the fitment wasn't holding me back either, but its good to hear from someone who actually knows as oppose to is guessing...

MMMmmmm that size would be a 5x114 as ADVAN never made a 5x100 in +38

This may be the problem you having getting that wheel as the persion selling them may have made a misprint in there add

Hey Phat,

Was in discussion with Yokohama about getting the Connoisseur 151C's in 19 x 8.5 +38 (silver)

According to them, and i did double check, they definitely exist in that size?

Per this ad:

Image

At any rate, as I know Scott from Tech 9 quite well, he was/is in discussion with Christian on my behalf.. But I haven't heard from him in a week or so and as I have not sold the UltraLeggera's and I am spending on some other areas of the car right now, I am not rushing things!

If somehow my Ultraleggera's were to sell, then I will be pushing things along a bit quicker!

That said, a set of 19" CE28n's would be a VERY worthy alternative, although somehow I don't see them being in the same price range!

P.S - Show us your PHAT 20"s Phat! :p

One of the melbourne members (pplwu) also has/had a set in 5x100. I am not ruling out the probability that they were very good knock offs though

Yes pplwu does have a set of 151c's in the above mentioned size. If they are knock offs, they're very very high quality knock offs lol.
