I bought the car a few months ago now, and visually it looks the same (apart from some minor paint repairs done, and some personalized plates)
So most of you know i did a rim swap with Choco a couple months ago, and the car looked like this:
Since then, i have done a few modifications, and added a set of gloss black 17" WRX rims:
For anyone interested, it was $25 per rim to get them sand blasted, and $45 per rim for powder coating.
This didn't include a clear coat, which i think is essential, so i bought some 600 Grit sand paper, and sanded them back lightly:
Then i applied a couple layers of clear coat, and they came out like this:
The total cost for this job:
- 6-8 sheets of 600 Grit sand paper: $6-$8
- 2 Cans of clear coat ~$15 Each
- 1 tin of cleaner (to remove dust, grime etc) $10
- Sandblasting $100
- Powder Coating $180
TOTAL: $330
The part i forgot to mention though, is that i got them powder coated for FREE
