A quick search would offer as much referral and feedback as anyone would want surely?

Ah there is no doubt he is good, just don't treat him like an idiot and show some respect. People need to remember Phat isn't a shop, he doesn't have the overheads of a retail shop but nor does he have the resources. He doesn't have to do things for us on the liberty forums but he does so count yourself lucky. If you find something better or cheaper then go buy it but geez would everyone stop their whinging. Is it me or as the Liberty's value is dropping the whinging owners are getting higher?

I have had two good experiences and a third with one minor hiccup which really isn't a fault of his and I told him about it but it was too late to rectify the situation but I am sure if he had the chance he would.

+1 for Phat here

Phat giving a good price last time for my HKS filter and Blitz AC filter, free posts and fast.

Might be a bit late in replying message, but price cheaper than japan parts.

Even the STI Duracon Gearknob is cheaper by 10-20%, shipping from Japan a bit expensive.

Anyway, both of them are making me happy, so no one wins or lose.

Cheers

What's the point of this thread? What, you felt a bit burned by the JapanParts thread and you're trying to make him look bad by digging up negative comments? Unless you have a problem with Phat, why would you actively go out and pursue comments about him? Like he said, you don't have to buy from him. He has more than enough business to keep him occupied.

As UrbanGTB said, Phat's not a shop. He's doing us a tremendous favour by taking orders from forum members, providing support when we need it, and answering questions most vendor wouldn't have a clue to or can't be bothered with. But if you still have doubts, check Phat's membership start date, then search his posts where he helps out with answering difficult questions, and all the positive feedback that's resulted. If that doesn't do it for you simply just take your business elsewhere.

I WOULD HAVE PHAT GT'S BABIES IF IT WERE POSSIBLE

In all seriousness though he is amazingly helpful over the phone. Take today for example, I was a little dumbfounded by my STi front lip spoiler install as the manual was in Japanese, 5 minutes on the phone with Michael and I felt like I had the confidence to do it no troubles, even drilling into the body of a car...something I have never done before, felt like I had done it a thousand times thanks to Michaels advice. He even somehow managed to remember how many different types of clips and bolts came with my STi spoiler and which side of the spoiler they go in, yet he hasn't done an STi spoiler install in like a year. The man is a genius, and I will only ever purchase from him, even if someone else was cheaper, because I know Michael has the knowledge to help me out if I ever get into any trouble!

Thanks for your comments guys.
The purpose of this thread is not fo defame Phat GT..... More an attempt to find out what members have purchased or what assistance has been given by Phat GT. Sure it was a reaction to another thread but I was seeking relevance if information to the thread title.
Until now no one has been able to inform me of what and who he is.
As mentioned earlier in this thread I had a chat with Michael and am confident of ordering with him in the future.... But prior to knowing any of that info, what option did I have?
Japan parts...... Isn't that where we all started????
Maybe not everyone.
I was also attempting to keep the japan parts thread relevant to the thread title .... No ... I don't feel that I was burned or otherwise burnt in that thread..... More like Trying to keep it relevant.
In no way have I made defaming or otherwise negative comments about him.....can anyone show me where I have???
I can appreciate Michael has helped out a lot of members.....maybe he'll be helping me out soon too.
I welcome your discussion and hopefully helpful experiences.
No.... We're not wired or strange in Vic....LOL.

I think you might crash the forums if people started posting everything PHAT helped them out with

I have been in contact with cal68 in PM's and he genuinely was interested in what PHAT did, there was no malice behind this thread or his other posts.
I think his English skills might be partly to blame for people Misconstruing what he has tried to say, but at least this thread has got it out in the open and hopefully cleared it all up!

Happy modding people :P

Ahh, Kieran. Always the diplomat. Good on ya. :D

But if cal68 is genuine and is simply not Phat bashing, then I apologise for my harsh words. A lot of newbies don't understand the concept of 'Phat', and that he doesn't have a bricks & mortors store so they're forgiven. But cal68 actually joined in 2007 and has close to 100 posts! :P

Cheers for the replies.... True I didn't understand the Phat concept hence my feedback thread.
Why would I burn my bridges?
Thanks for the supportive comments too Kieran.
I really don't see where I was phat bashing... Rather keeping thread discussion relevant to thread title bashing. :D
Anyway water under the bridge.... I'm not here to cause trouble..... But I promised to stop spending money on my car.... Maybe that will change with a new parts source...LOL 8)
