Yeah man... not enough stretch on a 19" tyre... so wont work with the stock guards... best to go for a low offset 18" or closer to +40 on a 19 x 8.5..
That said... I'm sure it would be possible to "make" them fit, you'll just need to pull the guards and run some decent -ve camber...

Shame, I reckon BBS CH would look awesome on a Liberty but only come in 19 x 8.5 ET30 in 5x100.

I'll try to keep you posted with how I go. With my previous car (180sx) offset was everything, but it seems with the liberties, noone really has wheels with tough offsets...
