All valid points guys... But no-one is giving me any indication of cost etc?

Those who are running the TEIN C/O's, which model are you running? cost?

Also, who can supply the TEIN's or KW's?

I understand the risk of running a cheaper brand coilover, but have experienced first hand that they can still do a very good job and are often comparable to the more expensive options. Both sets of HSD Coilovers were in the car for 1-2 years before I sold the cars and were still working a treat!

I understand that over time, a more expensive, bigger brand coilover will most often perform better long term, but I have heard many stories of the big brand coils/struts failing after a time, and the majority of them recommend you have them serviced every couple of years, which costs much the same as buying a cheaper set!?
I am not discarding the option of a set of TEIN's or KW's, just will be hard for me personally to justify twice the outlay in cost!...

You're on the money there Jimmy. Basically the higher quality product is higher initial outlay, but reduced total cost of ownership due to being more durable. During that service period you are getting a better performing product (see my above comments). If you don't plan to keep the coilovers that long then the cheapies may be cost effective. Another factor which I personally care about is environmental waste and avoiding products which are designed as throwaways.

With the expensive ones if you keep them for a long time then it's a pain to eventually have to take them out to rebuild and later refit (I've kept my stock struts for that reason as temp changeovers). On the other hand, simply changing over the cheapies with another set of cheapies means less downtime.

I got a quote from the Phat man about a month or so back for a set of Tein Type Flex Coilovers and it was around $2,400 delivered, much cheaper then other quotes I received.

Talk to Michael if you want Teins.

I managed to find quite a good review written about the BC's. He even had them tested on a dyno, it's a good read for anyone considering these.
I also like the first point he makes about forums as I have found this to be pretty accurate from past experience.
