Ahhh wish i could come and meet the rest of you Vic guys  Not quite enough time to organise it all. If i know it a few months advance I can plan a couple of other things to do down there while im there...as a 7 hour road trip just to go to a meet isn't justifiable lol.

I'm not sure a pre meet at 6am is going to be all that enticing Luke!
Just get to the meet on time :D

Yeah the pre-meet is at Bunnings, next to McCafe ;). IMHO the more pre-meets the more time waiting around and less time driving.

If you're close to the city, then Monash/Bolte/Tulla/Ring Road is quickest to get there.

If you're a bit further south-east, then Eastlink, Eastern Fwy, Bulleen Rd, Rosanna Rd, Greensborough Hwy/Ring Rd is the quickest.

Both these routes are about an hour. The Monash/Bolte route is a lot more distance, but much fewer traffic lights.

Can't make this one (problem finding time for anything extra at the moment) but as a matter of interest has anyone thought about a meet and greet for our country cousins? I assume we are not all from suburban Melbourne, and it would be good to include them in events also. No idea where would be a good location to suit most but just a thought.

Steve,

Yes, Ric's route is the most direct and I will be taking that one. I guess if we want coffee before the start, it will be a 6:30am departure, at least for me anyway. No point in trying to meet-up at that time of the day. Just do that when we get there. I'll bring the two handheld radios again.

After Healesville, I will be taking the C411 back to Pakenham via Woori Yallock, just to round out the day nicely!

Kind Regards,

Mark.

MH3.0R Speaking of radios, where can I pick up a good set? Was thinking of buying some for me and my mate in the golf as we will surely be doing lots of drives once I get off these damn P plates.
