Alright thanks GT.B MY07 P plate brother!

I might order that front bar from Ultrex now actually and the STI lip too. Did you happen to find anywhere that sells the STI roof spoiler or did you not look for that.

What? What's the reasoning behind that?

it's an attention thing.
It's similar to running fogs when it's not foggy, it provides no function in winter other than for looks mostly.

I open the sunroof on tilt in winter to get ventilation through the cabin, without having wind noise from opening the side windows

I guess I should have underlined the mostly part.
Yes it can serve a function at times, but the highway patrol guys see it is an attention thing by young drivers most of the time. This is straight from the horses mouth so to speak, that's why I am saying it.

Wow, well vicroads should have made that much clearer on their paperwork that they send out...

I never drive with my fogs on and stick to the limit like white on rice, definitely don't want to attract any unwanted attention. Though as for the sunroof, I always have it tilted unless its raining (for ventilation), only got two weeks and I barely see any cops on the road as it is...i'll take a chance...

Agree Bobby - WTF?? What a crock of shite. Seriously, if the coppers are going to look for a sunroof being up then, damn it, they can pull over every convertible with the top down... For attracting attention... Oh, and pull every Ferrari, Lambo and any other super car for attracting attention. Maybe they should just concentrate on the stupid drivers in their 1990's V8 Commodores and Falcons...

End of rant.

From what my mate said it was more in regards to cars that look like attention seeking ones, lowered with rims and stickers and all that crap, the tilted sunroof is just the icing on the cake. Akin to fog lights on during the day.
