Interesting.

Good idea IMO. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who don't put their lights on in any conditions other than pitch black.

At least on this forum I know I'm not the only one old enough to remember when centre mounted brake lights became mandatory....

Taken for granted these days, but makes a huge difference...

These are the new high power ones from Hella http://www.youtube.com/user/TMTuningdotcom

These can be purchased from Blackwoods for about $500 and look like they are gonna last a long time as they have plastic lens to protect the leds.
Thinking about it coz people don't notice my grey subi and pull out on me!
Just hoping the price will come down soon.

^^ They look interesting, where are you proposing to mount them? Inside the upper or lower intake in the bumper?

I've always been a fan of DRL in my old car I wired up my fog lights to run independently of the parkers so I could leave them on during the day.

Thanks. It makes sense in Europe but not necessarily in Australia.

Here are my DRL's:

I'm thinking of installing them on the upper surface of the front skirt intake, either side of the number plate.

I've nearly been cleaned up at a roundabout near work four times in the last year. During the day too??

Panson can get some for $140 USD delivered so I might try those.

I will post pics if I end up going for those or the Hellas.

Yeah I'm thinking that is a good location too, since it will have minimal effect on airflow into the radiator, and also then the casing of the lights is fairly hidden from view. If you get them post up pics of them fitted I may be keen too.

Just remember it is illegal to run with fog lights on when conditions do not require them.

Yeah I got pulled over and was given minor defect notice because of the way I (intentionally) wired up the lights  Didn't get a fine though as the law had only just been introduced in Vic and the cop was a good one.

IMHO people doing HID conversions with reflector headlights or running stupidly over wattage bulbs in their headlights cause more problems than foglights, which aren't a problem as long as they are aimed correctly (down low and to the side).

I'm a buyer for Repco and the manager for globes/lighting said it in a meeting recently.

Just wondering Jim,

Do you have the website about this thing? The law or something?

Thanks
