Re-Mapping an MY08 2.5T Sti 194 kw

Does anyone know how much more power you can get out of a 2.5T by re-mapping only? Has anyone done it?

Do you mean simply retuning without adding any extra mods?

Bear in mind that the TB Sti only had 5kw more than the standard 2.5, you'll be able to get to the same point as any GT-B. If you look up Parso_Rex he made a post about how far he was able to get without adding anything other than reflashing.

[edit] here you go.

Well lets be clear on one thing firstly..the 194 kw is not at the wheel but rather at the fly. If you do a dyno run on your stock Lib tuned by sti you will likely find that it reads around the 130 kw at the wheel. A good flash tune will likely net you another 10-15 kw at the wheel unless you have a very high reading dyno in use. The best thing about getting the stock car tuned properly is that it cleans up your air / fuel ratios and will reduce or get rid of the horrible drive by wire throttle stutter making the car much more enjoyable to drive.

Thanks guys, I know that its at the wheels I just feel like the car wants to go MORE when you fang it. its probably that drive by wire crap that holds it back! I'm thinking of getting Vinnie at Sti Docklands Melbourne to do it. Has anyone had this done?

Vinnie doesn't work there anymore and AFAIK Dockland don't do tunes anymore.

Actually there are a number of things holding you back from making more hp & torque, tune is the first on my list. Finding a good tuner shouldn't be too hard in Melbourne I wouldn't have thought. Search the forum because there must be others in Melbourne who have had their cars open source flash tuned.+
