Nearly everything is in here to start with.

L platers can, P platers can't

Alot of them either have exemptions, or got their license before the law came in, really only way to do it legally

I remember hearing somewhere apparently a P Plater can infact drive a V8, Turbo or supercharger if they had a full licenced driver accompanying them in the passenger seat...

Dunno the credibility behind it though..

Never heard that one before, though i DID hear that all you have to do apparently is register an ABN then write a letter saying how you have no choice but to drive a supercharged V8 for "work causes" and they'll grant you an exemption letter.

I believe there may also be exemptions in NSW if the only choice is the 'family car' , a turbo or V8... not sure as it doesn't affect me :)

While you are a P plater, you cant drive anything prohibited no matter what the circumstance is.

And shane, if green P platers could drive boosted cars, i wouldn't own my nugget still :P

You can go to the RTA and get an exemption on your license saying you can drive V8's etc.. But the catch is you can only drive them in work hours and on work days. Ive already approached this idea and didnt want it due to only being allowed in work hours. But L platers can drive Turbo's and V8's as i drove my mums XR8 while on L's, Now im stuck with a Nugget :P

To the best of my knowledge there is still no restrictions on the vehicles that a L or P plater can drive in WA.

Queensland, You can drive a High powered vehicle (V8, Turbo, Supercharged, over 200kw stock) IF its a medical emergency and you need to get someone immediate attention... OR If its the only car available to you... OR If you need one for work OR If you owned the car prior to the laws coming out.

There have now been whispers of the government changing it so that P platers can drive turbo cars aslong as the car is under 200kw. Because many new cars (Safe cars) Are fitted with a turbo, and they are really narrowing the field in that instance.

Still whispers at the moment.. but if so, B4 here i come...

Oh and you can drive a turbo... If its a diesel...
