I am need of a recommendation for a place that repairs rims. Anyone had any experience with companies in the ACT or Queanbo?
I had to help my brother in law move over the weekend and on my way home yesterday in pouring rain I landed in the mother of all pot holes and the rim has a slight but noticable flat spot on it. I know this represents the optimum time to buy another set of rims but finances say otherwise (especially the minister for finances).
Thanks in advance.

Wicked wheels at Queanbeyan or Rallimax at Mitchell. There is a third place at Fyshwick but don't know its name. Gulson's use it so ring them if you want to find out. Have used wicked for a gutter rash (thankyou Canberra Centre) and they are $220 per wheel. Only found out about Rallimax 2 weeks ago, rang them last week and they said their prices start at $137 per wheel.

I went straight on into a gutter at like 40km/h in my old imprezza, damaged the rim...
Got it fixed at JAX in fyshwick. From what I can remember it was a fair price too.

Cheers Alex, I got my tyres from them so might pop by and see what they say.

Canberra Centre car park? The pay station out to Corryong St are nasty. The wheels on the wife's Outback are cained from those gutters. I'm so careful when driving my Liberty there.

They are bliss when compared to the new multi level car park at the air port. I don't think I have seen a smaller tighter turning lane for the exit. It's not really officially open and they have car paint all over the barriers. I almost pooped going through them recently.

Let me know how you go Kev, I have to get at least two rims fixed because they have some rash and I'd be interested to hear about your experiences.
Cheers,
Michael.

Mine doesn't have gutter rash, it has a very minor 'flat spot' for want of a better description - but I will ask if they do repairs on gutter rash etc.
