Who is this ?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

wow! some very harsh responses to a fairly frank comment from Dodge there. Maybe we need to cool down on this issue?

The damage on the car certainly fits the description of the person tehre on the day.

Both driver side tyres lipped off the rims (no grass in there though)
Certainly sideways, very sideways
Obviously going reasonably slow at the time the car was tripped, but enough preserved momentum to get on it's lid
Crushed A-pillar and top of windscreen

I'm quite surprised the bonnet is in such good condition, the ripple would be as the guards pushed in during the roll.

Given the guy had no harness on (bit silly even it it was just a sprint session) he's very lucky to get away with what will be some pretty sore neck and hopefully that's about all.

Certainly sad to see a nice car wrecked but as is always with motorsport, you play, you pay.

Interesting though, unless he spun around 180 before sliding broadside I would expect the passenger side tyres would be lipped (?) off the rims as the corner off the bridge is a right hander

EDIT: sorry, just read your post about the turn being a rightie (funnily enough, I was wondering if I could get a google earth/maps ref of the track). In which case, I'd surmise a tank slapper situation. Easy in one of these cars if you lift off mid corner. :|

Yep,

Going around a left hander, back end slides progressively out leaving the car quickly on the grass (as the corner is now invitably a straight) and the car then trips and rolls. The preserved momentum from the cornering exercise will fling it out to the grass on a left hander with the drivers side taking the impact of any roll.

The other scenario is a complete tank slapper through a right hander where the car steps out a lot, visciously snaps back and ends up ejecting off the track backwards but sideways onto the grass which would likely show more rear end compression on the roof and scratches/scuffs running from the back of the roof to the front.

I'm no crash investigator, but physics states that there's only a few ways to end up with a car like that.

Have you been to a track day?

Do you know the limits of your car?

FFS … you have written off cars, lost your licence, had many nears misses…… when will you learn mate, when its too late and cause serious injury to a innocent person or even worse kill someone….. And people wonder why our insurance keeps increasing

I see no point in buying a performance car just to spend my time playing traffic light races…….. You claim you know some roads very well due to spending many years using them for spirited drives. Good for you, count yourself lucky.

And to answer your question no speeding tickets, no lose of licence, I have owned higher powered cars and bikes…. My current car is currently a downgrade in power

And like Smythie posted, I drive to what the conditions allow for……….

Man what an up tight little man you are!!!

I bet you need 45mins to take a shit!!!

No tickets, no this, no that...zzZZZzzzZZzzz... you buy fast toys and just so people can see you on them or in them and think your a 'Danger Man' but really you have no idea.

I'm over 40 have been and seen enough to make the 'high horsed' judgements you reel off but don't see the point, it proves nothing, adds nothing and just shows what a scared little man you really are.

I race every Wednesday night at WSID, have competed in various motorsport events.

Will happily teach you a lesson in on track bravery, as long as we can swap cars 1/2 way through to see who is the better driver and NOT the fastest car. :assassin: :assassin:

The comments about insurance are hysterical, I have NEVER made a claim my 60% bonus intact thanks,

Further to this I've had a look at the track on Google Earth and if you run the track anti-clockwise, you could end up upside down in the wall/near the wall on the corner just after the bridge (which if you were going clockwise around the track would make it the corner just before the bridge).

Guess we'll never know the real story but this is another option to consider. :-)

OMG. I feel really sorry for the owner of that car.
Can't he get someone to toll the car to a normal road and then contact insurance?
