hey all

hey guys,
new member to the forum. thought id say hi.

ive got a 2006 Blitzen, black, stock. bought it over a 2001 BMW 540 sport and couldnt be happier. Having owned 2 e34 model bmw's (535is and a rare 540iLE) i was naturally wanting another but after driving the blitzen it was a no brainer. was very disappointed with the auto sti (never drove the man but have never been a big turbo fan, plus the insurance difference was crazy) so the 3.0 6cyc was natural place to look and after discovering the blitzen i loved the exclusivity and the wheels and body kit look great.

im hoping to read through the threads and get some hints and advice on some future mods. looking to add an exhaust to get a nice sound and help her breath a bit better, cold air intake, ecu upgrade and lower it just a smidge to possibly either to just make it look nicer with smaller gap between tyre and car but if i have to replace the suspension ill look at something to help her stick a bit firmer to the black top. also very keen to add a boot spoiler and absolutely want a gt bonnet.

anyhow thats my rant

ive just realized that this is not the introductions page....sorry...if it can be moved, please do..

also from looking through the forum, everything is gen 1 - 4 and spc b this or that...so would i be correct in saying that my 2006 blitzen would be a gen 4.
i also notice the international models are called legacy and then they are know as bg or bn or bl etc....so what does that equate to as far as mine is concerned

G'day mate welcome to the forums, Dont listen to the flaming crap you will get for wanting a GT hood. Its your car you do what you want with it, Plus the GT hood makes the car look meaner :D.

YOu have a gen4 Blitzen, they actually made a gen3 Blitzen too.

If yours is a sedan, it's a BL - wagon is BP

yeah i saw that there was an earlier blitzen model avail, but i dont think it was offered here in aus,

so i know that my model is a gen 4 otherwise known as a bl legacy...whats the difference between d, e,f type? i see it ask this on a few of the jap aftermarket sites.. is it to differ from the 04 - 06 update and then the 07 update?

i didnt want to start a new thread just on pics of my car being cleaned so i thought id continue on this one untill i post up a mod thread in a few weeks.

gave the car a basic detail...washed, polished and waxed...i definatly need to get along to a detailing day, learn how to properly clean the car and get rid of the spider webs, and then being a dark car learn how to give it the final polish to ensure it looks smooth and you dont get the swirl looks when its in the sun..

took me half an hour to try and remember if you wax or polish the car first lol..but i think the finished product came up pretty good

Holy crap look at the size of that grill :D. You're not far off from Bugatti envy haha.

Black Blitzens look much better than the red ones IMHO.
