Its a good Idea though i removed mine so the car looked better - was driving up to lithgow for a race meet a fortnight ago and an empty coke bottle popped out from the car in front of me wend lid first into the bonnet (where the protector would have been.) Dirty big ding about 1/2 cm deep and the same size as the lid of a coke bottle. No paint damage surprisingly so it'll be off to one of those paintless dent removal people to get done /rant

Thats cool Beavis, i could be at the bbq on sunday, depends how well i have recovered from the night before! If i don't go, my brother CJ1177 (chris) will be there, so i can give it to him to give to you. I also have headlight protectors too, if you change your mind about them.

Yeah that front lip of the bonnet always seems to cop the most abuse, especially passing trucks! Was looking at these tint film type protectors ( http://www.ducoscratch.com.au/proddetai ... tyGTBonnet ) but dont think they would do much against a decent stone and definetly wouldnt stop a dent.

No worries chick how much extra for the light protectors as well mate

At least if you had that product on the bonnet it would limit paint damage if you got a dent, which makes it more salvageable.

I use to be a strong believer in these bonnet protectors, but I found on mine and also fellow lib owner these protectors where eating into the paint, not sure if earlier model protector were better but mine rubbed, on the two tangs which were either side of the grill…… so keep an eye out.

You talking about the duco scratch or similar clear film type, my guess is the adhesive was probably not compatible with the paint. Have heard the subaru's are common for a 'soft' paint finish which would contribute to what your saying.

Having heard of your problem with this senator i might steer clear of it for now....
