I hate to say it, but if you go a cheap brand like Lenso or similar in 20s, you quite likely will notice a drop in your acceleration. Cheap/heavy 20's would easily be 12-13+ kg each plus tyres and this will kill any nice feeling of acceleration the car has now simply due to the rotating mass. Jap manufacturers dont make 20s for a good reason - they are shit for performance.

I'd suggest spending the extra $$ on forged wheels by Work or Advan - costly yes, BUT you will kick yourself for buying cheap 20s

Spot on!

The other hurdle to overcome is Subaru have obviously only dimesioned the rolling diameter to suit 45 series rubber on an 18 inch wheel. Therefore going to 20's will require 35 or maybe even 30 series if able to get 245/255's in the arches, which is crap for ride and $$$

Understand Boxer.....been there, done that with expensive light weight Jap wheels for previous Subis but I'm a bit passed all that.....more for looks than performance.

I do like those works wheels but they're likely to be over $6K I'm imagining......19's would be my prefered option but I hardly see the point in changing wheels for just 1 inch......

I agree with what other members have said... Needs bigger rims :D Hell, if Holden / HSV have been putting 19's & 20's on their cars for several years... About time the Japs followed suit, even if it's just for cosmetics... Or at least have something as an option :D

Other then that, I think the car looks a lot better sitting low with the STI lip etc... Some eye lids would put the icing on the cake IMO :D

Saw a white Sport MY10 (non GT) on the road today and I think it looked really nice.....but then I may be biased :o
White was my next choice but i've always wanted a gunmetal grey car.

Every single MY10 Liberty I've seen on the road so far I've initially mistook it for a Camry from the front or an Hyundai/Accord from the back. I don't think I've ever spotted the Gen V Liberty as a Liberty, always as another car until I get up closer. Whereas before the Gen IV's you can tell it's a Liberty from miles away.

But I'm first to admit the car does have potential to it once it's heavily modified. In stock form though ... :bad:

I don't know Jim Boy... I've mistaken Gen 4 sedans for a Conform-adoore / HSV from a distance... Of course the Gen 4 wagons can't be mistaken ;)

LOL pulled in to the servo this morning and I guy was filling up his 2010 Liberty GT (black). He looked at mine and said is yours a Liberty? I said yes and what is that car your driving? He said he loves the car but stated he thought it looked a lot like a camry and has been asked that a number of times. He asked me have done much to your car mod wise? I just laughed. Rims need to be one size bigger, dropped about an 1 1/2" and lip installed. Even then it will just look like a modified camry imo.

My thoughts exactly - Advan Connoisseur 151C is the only 19x8.5 wheel Advan make in 5x100 and would suit the MY10 VERY well I think :D

you need a thicker spoke design to help fill those guards...... IMO the 151c would not cut it

Looks pretty decent but the car overall looks very bulky and cumbersome. Very Lexus-esque.

if Subaru would make a sports sedan with twin turbo 3 ltr engine I would pay $100K no worries. I love Subaru's and owned plenty but if I wanted a toyota or nissan sales rep car I would buy one.
