Hey mate!

Tein Flex is the best for the money. this style will allow to lower the car as much as u like and still have ample travel.

Speak to the Phat man out as he's helped every1 else out. I hear his got a good deal for sum for a few other GT owners.

Phil.

Still waiting... only thing i found out for myself is that my 2.5 07 GT is a BL9 (chassis code) while the 05 was a BL5.

Do we know the significance of the code?

We don't...not yet

But for example with the Tein S Tech springs that i had on my 05 GT was for a BL5 - part no : SKS 52-S1B00 (from the box). Tein USA lists a different part number for the BL9 - SKS 70-AUB00.

Still waiting for Fulcrum to get back to me for my 07.

07 Liberty/legacy GT is BL5-Applied D.

TEIN S.TECH

- 7.2k Rear, -25mm

TEIN H.TECH
- 4.7K Front, -15mm
- 6.5K Rear, -15mm

OR Tein Coilovers - Super Street, Flex, or new Monoflex.

For JDM model it is...but not for the USDM /ADM 2.5. Go read your compliance plate - it will say BL9.

I've had the pinks fitted and they ride nice!

Car has come down a big 5mm or so but any more and I wouldn't be able to get in the driveway. It's not steep but just awkward.

See recent photos in photo section.

KWs aren't as bad as Mick made it seem. I do have travel Mick, you know that, i lost a fair bit of my tyres lately coz of this travel.
I've had mine set pretty low as people know here and have been very impressed with the handling on them and especially the way the handle through huge bumps. They are a very comfortable ride, the quality of them are great too as expected from Germany. And as they use micro cellular urathane helper springs that engage during the last bit of suspension travel its provide a more graceful and progressive end to the compression stroke thus preventing the old days of hitting bump stops.

But now that my wheels are rubbing against the guards because of the offset I got, I myself might have to sacrifice to something with harder springs to run the heights I want to ride my car at but not rub the guards. will decide what to do later, raised the car at the moment for the time being.

also from information of the US guys, KW has better matched valving than the Tein Flex, especially when compared to the non-monotube Flex version.

I'm not putting down Tein here, as I myself sell the products and probably getting the Mono Flex for my next set, but I just want to make it clearer that KW do make a great suspension package and it does handle great even set at low heights. I will let you guys drive my car if I can ever make it to a meet.

If they made the Variant 3s for our cars, that would even more awesome for what we need, but unfortunately they don't :(

FYI

Postby Mo_GT » Tue Jul 24, 2007 6:15 pm

Just FYI guys - iwrote to Tein Japan asking about the BL9 /BL5 chassis code difference and they advised that the S Tech springs for the BL9 was an USA market only item.

But i still don't know what is different between the BL9 and BL5 shocks for the Spec B...
