Aparently this drives the US guys crazy!
They have many threads on this topic on the lgtforums. Read a few and found out that the drivers side chime can be disabled easily by unplugging from underneath the seat, HOWEVER this does NOT work with the passenger side because the passenger side connector incorporates the seat airbag too.
This is probably your best choice in what to do, doesnt involve cutting anything and im pretty sure its reversable as nothing is 'broken' or taken out.

Yeah I couldn't find that plug either. I compared it to wiring diagram in workshop manual and the advice they posted does not correspond to RHD cars. They did not reply to my question about this unfortunately.

Our libs are fitted with seatbelt pretensioners in the seatbelt retractors.
I would be checking to make sure that by unplugging the passenger seatbelt chime that it doesn't tell the BCM that no-one is in the passenger seat and hence not firing the seatbelt pretensioner when in accident
.
When I need to place a heavy obejct on my front passenger seat, I take an extra 15secs and attach the seatbelt, this stops the seatbelt warning chime

Yeah sorry maybe I should open up a new topic. I wanted a solution to the drivers side beep.
I've tried the 20x click thing like 4 times now & it doesn't even work!

why are you driving the car fast enough without the seat belt on that the chime operates anyway? Do you have another harness set up that you don't need the seat belt?

I'm sure no one here drives without a seat belt if that's where your getting at. Sometimes we are preoccupied with something and just need that extra 10 seconds or so to put the seat belt on.
