EOI _ Melbourne meetup at Calder Park 19-Jan-2008

Postby Ric » Tue Dec 18, 2007 2:08 pm

This is just an idea at this stage, to see if anyone is interested.

The MG Car Club is having a twilight meeting at Calder Park on Sat 19-Jan.
This runs from 4:30pm until about 9pm.
Spectator entry is free, so we could have a meetup there before hand.
I'll only have my MG, but there's heaps of carpark space to arrange a few Liberties for a photoshoot.

(There's a McCafe in the BP Station right over the road now to grab food if you want.)

Anyone interested?

It's too far in advance to plan! but I think I won't be able to make it. My parents come back from overseas that day, so we will most likely be having dinner out.

Possibly, we do run a "non-Marque" class. I'll make some enquiries. :)

I could always paint a big "MG" on boths sides of my car and splash a bit of oil around the engine bay so its looks the part.

I'm doing my homework, so far only found one installer in the USA.

Will you have the RX8 sorted by then?

Craig, I'm assuming your CAMS licence is with the WRX club.
I checked this afternoon, and we've already officially invited WRX club members to come along.
It's $110 entry. You would be seeded into a group of 12 with similar lap times, and get runs with three timed laps (i.e. 3/4 lap warm up, 3 timed, then 3/4 to slow down and exit.)
You'd get at least three runs, but probably five.

Entry form and supp regs will be up at www.mgcc.com.au later tonight.
(As soon as I finish cleaning up the formatting and converting them to PDF ;))
