[ NSW ] The Annual Peter Brock Rememberance Cruise 8th Sept

Postby Tom » Mon Sep 03, 2007 10:12 am

I'm inviting you guys on behalf of Brian (Turbo) from Carfussion.. This was done last year on OzMazdaClub.com and was a fun top cruise.. Was very well organised, with no dramas and no one missing from the pack or getting lost.. Come along, should be a fun day!

Turbo wrote:Start Time: 8:00-am (for an 8:30am departure)
Meeting Point: M4 Mcdonalds
Cost: a Gold coin donation would be nice (100% donations forwarded to Peter Brock Foundation)
Food/drink Costs: $1.50 sausages and drinks (profits from this also forwarded to Peter Brock Foundation).

The Plan:

We will cruise from the M4 Meeting point, straight up the mountain and through to Lithgow for our first stop along the way.

At Lithgow McDonalds, we will perform a driver reviver, await for the slower or speed limited drivers to catch up and give them time to eat and get refreshed before proceeding along to the Great Western Highway to Bathurst.

Once we get to BAthurst, we follow the signs for Mt Panorama, and we will finish the cruise at the bottom of the Mountain at the National Motorsport Museum.

Here we will once again regroup, and when everyone has arrived, we will unleash ourselves on the mountain (remembering of course there is a 60km/h speed limit).

At thos point, Cruise organisers will be setting up a BBQ at the top of the mountain for the cruisers, while cruise people perform laps.

Once we get the meat on, we will call cruisers in for lunch and refreshments, and start get6ting some photos.

In the afternoon we would like to get a group photo of cars and cruisers to remember the event, and then we will reploy organisers around the track for photo opportunities from the cruisers.

Once we have dropped off photographers, we will again let everyone loose on the track, and get some very memorable photos of all the cruisers.

From this point, it's up to everyone what they do, if they want to head straight back to Sydney, this is fine, but the organisers strongly suggest staying the night in Bathurst, heading out on the town, and relaxing and having a blast, but also resting up ready for the drive back Sunday.

Hope to see you all there.

Thanks,

Oh, and i know this is probably very late notice.. but i havent been around many car forums for a little while now, and only just remembered this cruise (even though im meant to be one of the photographers lol..) and figured id invite you guys too!

its a "any car" cruise, being that anyone driving anything is more than welcome to come :) .. majority appears to be commodores, so lets bring in more Libertys and show that AWD = better than RWD on the track :P haha..

C'mon.. I get enough of dem fords and holdens on the road trying to prove something to me..

We already know AWD pwns, that's why they banned us from the races ;)

I'll probably pass on this one.

I have a feeling it will be;

1. double demerits due to public holiday
2. i've got snow patrol concert on 7th
3. i don't intend to wake up early :]

Which rave buddy? Man I gave this up awhile ago.

Last one was I went to was Manic.

Darren Styles singing live was awesome! Except I was straight and had work at 9am.
