3 Liberty's and a Wakefield Track

Postby BlackGT » Mon Jul 30, 2007 7:09 pm

Woke up to find the car had ice on it :beach: and day was going to be sunny, perfect. Turbo's love the cold and it was going to be even colder in Goulburn. 8)

After meeting up with ET & Dibbo on the way I couldn't help but think I had the slowest car . Dibbo's STi wagon was like looking at a masterpiece, very shiny and with lots of good pink bits!

Once we reached Wakefield there all sorts of cars on the track including some Skyline with fire coming out of it's exhaust (nick named fire breathing dragon) and some other really quick cars. Didn't take too long before 3 Liberty's were holding there own. Dibbo went very quick considering he had never been on this track and had no track experience. ET also did his signature 180  . Believe it or not there was even a Nissan Tiida WTF  , this meant I couldn't have been slowest but I tell you what the Tiida wasn't easy to pass   :?: :?:

Will let other guys maybe report in more detail. Just for kicks I tried a 0-100 run and got 5.49 seconds, can't complain :) Image

We had a great day and a nice drive back, will post some video's as soon as I figure it all out.

ET has most of the good pics and I took a few that didn't turn out anything good. I'll post some more stuff within the next few days when i have some free time :beach: . Anyway here is one video of Dibbo and I on the track. Dibbo is the black STi MY07 in front of me till he accidently hits the Si Drive button to the wrong setting  .

From watching this run I guess I was doing around 1:20sec??

You apear to be a smooth operator judging by the youtube video :clapping:

I had a quick check of my video footage and worked out I was doing 1:20s most of the laps

I am not willing to post my video in fear of being called a crap driver

Thanks ET, I think your photos were somewhat better than mine. Here is the 2nd part of my video's, around the 11:00 minute mark is when it gets interesting and I chase that pesky Polo GTi and then the Nissan 350Z.

Thanks ET for the lend of the mount, pictures came out far better than I thought they would considering the amount the seats rocked back and forth.

Hmmm Eastern Creek :?
