Had betta throw my ocky strap idea in the bin then!

Great idea for the back seat camera catching me stuff up.

Camera needs to be secured well in case you get excited to much and things get out of control.
Here is a view from a back seat mounted camera of Wakefield's turn 4 that I came across on youtube

Is that what you had in mind when you mentioned stuff ups?

Great laugh that one [sorry whoever it was].
Mental note - disarm the wipers

You driven Wakefield before??
I spoke to a mate who raced in V8 utes and they tested there a bit - he said exit speed is more important there than going in hot and breaking late - this true??
Adam reckons that a smooth lap will produce faster speeds than just on off the go/ stop pedals - he said he passes GT3's & a lambo in his ute simply by having a better exit speed and tight lines.

Any comments on the track welcome.

Yep, been to Wakefield few times, I am not much of a race driver but would think that being smooth is a requirement on any track. I am sure you will have fun regardles of the lines you take and entry/exit corner speeds

It looked good and your camera mount was working nicely.

Quick question, when people mention laptimes at Wakefield is that a standing start time?
No longer Comin' through like a funeral all BLACK on BLACK

I'm getting keen now. Have to get a camera mount sorted this week.

As you have been a few times is there anything I should bring down [other than a chair, lunch & some oil]??

Do you run half empty then drive back to town to fill up or arrive full?
No idea what's there now as it was about 10 years ago I was there.

You can use my passenger seat mount camera if its of any help.
I do not bother with a chair but I do take esky with food/drinks.
Can you bring few grid girls with you? That would be noice :D
Goulburn is couple of kays away so you can fill up any time through out the day, on the track your consumption is likely to be around 25 liters/100 kays so it may be a good idea to fill it up before you arrive.
My car is still awaiting for some parts, :x at this stage it doesn't look promising but I am pushing to have it finished by end of the week.

Thanks for the advice.
Will have the thermals on I think. Sorta forgot how cold it gets there hey.

Grid girls! Have to see if Adam can call a favour from Dave and muster the Wiskers girls he had at Oran park a few years ago. Spent all day watching them and not the V8's. But a good day was had by all

Have passed off the daughter duties for Monday so will be leaving earlier than expected which is good for more track time. Hoping to get there before 10ish.

Have a friend coming over tonight to help with the camera mount - he's into that stuff so see what he comes up with.

Rain predicted all weekend so looks like the car will be a dusty grey colour on Monday  Never know the forecast at the moment though.

What parts are you geting? Go fast or repairs?
Hope thay arrive and you can test them with a few laps Monday.
Would be good to have at least one other Subi there to see how slow I really am.

Combination of the two - go fast that does not work properly due to other faulty bits....long story that is really pissing me off now....
It looks like I will have to postpone my Wakefield outing until the 30th

Thanks M.
If you are keen to go on 23rd do not worry about postponing it because of me, you can go with Dibbo and I will make my way on the 30th.
Cheers
