Perfect Timing

Postby Dibbo » Sat Jul 14, 2007 9:35 am

Shit was on the net last night looking up details for Wakefield!
Just had the 1st service and eager to see what the car can do.

Went there years ago with some friends as a spectator and thought the track was a good mix of corners and a short staight. Good for spectators too. 2 hrs away though :(

I was looking at a weekday as I hope there's less people there on a weekday? But would prefer to catch up with a few other people there to make the day fun.

Anyone done a track day there before??

I'm good for most but can't do 11/15th Aug.

Dibbo.

I agree, if a few turnout it will be a great day. I'm easy and will work around others so weekend or weekday is OK. Again I agree weekdays you'll get a heaps better run around the track.

Going to wakefield 23rd July.

Postby Dibbo » Mon Jul 16, 2007 11:02 am

Eastern Creek is much closer but I can't do the 4th as I have other stuff on in the morning :(

Spoke to Wakefield and a weekday is the go as weekends are buys.

If anyone is interested I'm going to polish the baby up on Sunday and head down next Monday [23rd July] provided the weather is dry-ish [dont mind a bit of water just not a flood!].

Track opens at 9am but I'll get there about 11ish to miss the morning rush - on the track and Sydney's traffic.

PM me if you'll be there, or just come up & say hi as I don't think there'll be too many other black Wagons there on the day.

Have to find the videeo camera and find where I can strap it on the car?
Anyone got some experience or ideas where the best places for the video are??

I found headrest works for me, I now have one mounted on the rear seat headrest giving me a nice view of the track as well as in car activities (ie. driver missing gear changes  )

Jeezus your organised with the camera.
Had betta throw my ocky strap idea in the bin then!

I can't do a 7am start as I have to drop my daughter off on the way hence the 11am arrival down there.

Great idea for the back seat camera catching me stuff up.
