Autowindow does interest me. My old car had power to the windows after turning the car off and it was hard to lose moving to the lib.

I've been lusting over your Tap Turn module since I bought the Lib ;)

In the longer term I'm planning a "full monty" Auto Window install with Rain Sense, auto mirrors, the works.

The products are really well though out and great value for money IMHO.

I just read in to it more, it seems the auto mirrors are for folding the actual mirror housing, not rotating the mirror up/down for parking as we were discussing tonight, therefore I don't think it will work on the libs, but I'm happy to be proven wrong...

It would be possible with the use of relays and the reverse signal wire yea? Just need one of those nerdy blokes to draw it up.

Sorry :( 2004 body style and up for Liberty, actually shows up as a 2005 model year car.. so that generation and up.

You need to see the 8-pin flasher in your car. If you have that, it will work for you!

Right, having the windows operable after shutting off the car is another thing Subaru is missing. It's another deficiency that I invented a different module for Liberty (my Legacy), called RRAP for "Retain and Resume Accessory Power". I talk about it over here:
http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/retained-accessory-power-modification-34363.html

RRAP let's you use the radio, anything, that is powered off ACC power, after you have shut the car off. So that's cool.. most cars have this, not Subaru. I went a little further with RRAP... give it an option that starts up ACC power when you approach (unlock) the driver's door. So you can dip in and do things with the car without having to use your key in the ignition switch. Then when you leave again (lock the car), it cuts ACC power.

I used to bundle generation one Tap Turn with RRAP. I haven't sold much RRAP lately. I could do a group buy on that too... possibly.

AutoWindow lets you do windows up/down from the REMOTE, whether you have RRAP installed or not. This is double cool. Way more installation headache though, you need to also add DEI530T modules (one per two doors) in Liberty to get AutoWindow to work.

Anyway, RRAP, AutoWindow, Tap Turn, are all independent.. . These all install separately take what you want.

I can start threads on those other things, let's keep this thread on topic of Tap Turn.

One AutoWindow module is a windows up/down thing with remote folding mirrors added. It only works for VW / VAG based cars that have FOLDING housing. Not up/down tilt of glass.

The AutoWindow modules that work with Liberty are Classic or Cool+, in "Universal Fit" configuration. Which means you have to add DEI530T as well. It's a big install job, going into every door and running wires back to dash. Not for the timid.

A group buy for a RRAP/Tap turn bundle would be fantastic. May as well bundle Autowindow too :D

I used to bundle these things when they shared some common wires (power lines) just to simplify installation a bit. They were technically a bigger box with more stuff stuffed in it.

But the new Tap Turn is a drop-in replacement flasher with no wires sticking out of it. There's no technical advantage to doing both at the same time.

Not to say other group buys aren't possible. It's just that they'd happen independently if it were to happen (not forseeable at this moment, dealing with Tap Turn keeps me busy enough).

If you want to get in on the Tap Turn deal db1 put your name on that group buy thread!

This forum should acknowledge you in some way as the scout and got me thinking to make a group buy for so many who just benefitted from you being first. I could see a beer or two coming your way!! Good things happen.
