Name: Sammy
Ride: 07 Liberty GT Spec B Wagon
Location: South Australia
Mod: Nothing yet just bought it!
Plans: Hand controls, Teins, Wheels, Grill and Lower Lip
Occupation: Diesel mechanic
Year of birth: 1987
Interest: Anything snowsports!
Previous Rides: Nissan Exa (CA18DET), XR6 Turbo Ute.

Hey everyone! I recently just bought myself a Liberty and have been trawling through this site over the past few nights so i thought i would make myself known. This site has a wealth of info and has already aided me in ideas for my own car.
I dont have any major plans for the car mainly exterior mods at this stage. One thing for sure is i am having an absolute horrible time deciding on what wheels i would like to put on it and what size but all the info on here is helping with what can fit nice and what is pushing it. I am loving the ROTA D-Force rims but it seems like they dont make it in the right stud pattern at the moment so i may have to look at something else!
Anyway this seems like a really good community with the great bunch of people all keen on helping out and look forward to many more nights trawling the boards :)

Thanks,
Sammy

Welcome Sammy!
Another SA man. How's the GTB in comparison to the XR6 Turbo? Have a look at ULTREX for the lip and See 'Phat' for Tein springs to suit your car. :D

Not a fan of Rota D-Force at all but... :?

Thanks hamish_023!
I wish i could tell you how it goes against the XR but i am still waiting on the car to arrive (Its in Sydney and having family bring it over) :( Hopefully it should be here next week and i cant get back to you!

Yeh after i found out i cant get the D-Force i have been very keen on the Tenzo-R Cuzco. So hopefully soon i can make up my mind about the size soon.
Have already gotten onto the 'Phat' about the Teins after reading many good things about the man!

Sounds good that your already onto the phat man pre car purchase hahahahaa it's the way to go. Where in SA are you?

Have a look at Jimmy S Ultraleggera 19" rims if you like that Tenzo type of style for pretty cheap inc tyres (I just bought some 18's in the same style and are fantastic quality in comparison) They are Italian made, (Leggera is Italian for lightweight) and are a great looking wheel for the GTB's.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
So far i have already organised the installation of the hand controls and have just ordered some springs and a new grill.
Cant wait to get the springs on to try out a few wheels sizes and go from there!

Hey Sammy, careful with getting the performance mods done so quickly, you need time to appreciate the new car *as is* for a while.
Out of interest what grill have you purchased?

Good luck with the modding,

Kieran.

Pick it up tomorrow so its finally here only took a few weeks wait! Got it booked in for the hand controlls and the its all mine. Just doing cosmetic mods to it at this stage and haven't though about performance mods at all!
