Today was my first time visting this forum after a friend suggested I look for a part here.

I was a regular at MRT till a few of us got moved along for enjoying ourselves too much.

I own three cars
MY04 LibertyGT - Premium Pack, Black, 180,000kms, Vin Tuned (206Kw +420Nm peak - 390Nm from 2000-5000rpm), Bilsteins. F+R Whitelines Swaybars, Heavy Duty endlinks (now removed due to noise), AVO Rear sway bar mounts after I broke the OEM mounting point, Front strut brace, Xenon low beams.
MY01 Liberty RX Manual, 220,000km, now piloted by my better half, 17" WRX rims, rear Whiteline sway bar.
1964 EH Wagon, My baby, moderately modified, especially the interior with bucket seats, DVD player, centre console, Momo wheel

I have owned my Subarus since new and love both of them, but I wouldn't buy a new one.

I have a good working knowledge of the Liberty but mainly suspension, live in SW Sydney, always happy to lend a hand to anyone who is willing to learn.

I'm intrigued to know more about your mods, you state 206kw from a Vin tune - I'm guessing that must be calculated back to the fly?! Because for 200 at the wheels you would be needing a lot more than just a tune..... OR is there more your not telling

Yes you are right, 206kw at the flywheel, not ATW

Wow the EH looks mint! Also, pardon my ignorance... but is that a stalk mounted manual transmission? I only thought they did that for autos? (I have zero idea about older cars)

Yes, commonly called a "three on the tree", using a non syncho 1st gear "crash box".

The EH is my baby, well I am it's actually. My father bought it brand new when mum was pregnant with me, and I came home from hospital in it.

I bought it off him when I got my P plates and drove it for many years as my daily driver without crashing it, amazing really when I look back at the lack of safety components in it.

My first born came home from hospital in it and about 3 years ago, I started the rebuild which is fairly complete now. It has been in a few car shows, but being 90% the original 45 year old acrylic lacquer, it will never win anything, but that's half the beauty to me.

Still has the original 149ci (2.4 litre) red engine, with a whole 75kw power, original gearbox and diff (engine and gearbox have been rebuilt twice), and has 250,000 miles on the clock.

Hey mate, it's not power or beauty that makes a car special to you. Only a true petrol head will admit that. I still regret getting rid of my first car...

Mine used to have a little sag, but I replaced mine with standard height heavy duty springs, The Bilsteins also raised it slightly

Yes lower would be good, but I carry kids and loads regularly and also sees a fair few off load km on a semi regular basis to get to my brothers place at Oberon
